Visa & Residence Permit Information (TRNC)
Pre-Arrival: Transit Visa Requirement
Before traveling to Northern Cyprus, students should be aware that all international flights to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) transit via Türkiye.
Therefore, depending on nationality, students may be required to obtain a Transit Visa of the Republic of Türkiye.
- Students must contact the nearest Turkish Embassy or Consulate
mfa.gov.tr - The University Acceptance Letter must be presented during the visa application process.
Entry to TRNC
Upon arrival at the port of entry in the TRNC:
- Students must present their University Acceptance or Invitation Letter to immigration officers
- A Student Entry Visa (valid for 90 days) will be issued upon entry
University Registration
After entry into TRNC:
- Students must complete their official university registration process
- Full registration at the University is required before proceeding with residence permit procedures
Online Residence Permit Application
Following university registration, students must apply for a residence permit via the official system:

Main Menu → Online Transactions → Student Permits
Account Creation & Login
- First-time users must select “Sign Up” and complete the required information
- Login credentials (username & password) will be sent via SMS or Email
- Returning users may log in directly using existing credentials
Immigration System Requirements
After login, students must complete all required steps, including:
- Obtaining a Foreign Student Registration Number
This number must be kept safely as it is required for all official procedures
- Selecting the option: “I do not have a valid health report”
- Completing payment for laboratory tests fee via the system
- Attending designated laboratory tests at the assigned medical facility
- Completing payment of the immigration fee based on health report results
Important Notice
- All immigration steps must be completed through the official TRNC online system
- Students are responsible for following each stage accurately and on time
- Failure to complete required procedures may affect legal residence status in TRNC
