A meaningful ceremony was held at World Peace University on the 86th anniversary of the passing of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey. The event, which began at 09:05 with a one-minute moment of silence to mark the exact time of Atatürk’s death, was attended by university staff and students.
The ceremony continued with the national anthem, followed by a speech by Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Behiye Çavuşoğlu. In her speech, she highlighted Atatürk’s contributions as the founder of the Republic of Turkey, emphasizing his role in bringing important values to the country and his efforts in the modernization process. She also drew attention to the significance of Atatürk’s vision for education and science.
The commemoration at World Peace University conveyed the message that Atatürk’s legacy will continue to be carried forward by future generations.
