The World Peace University organized the “Sustainable Cultural Heritage Panel” and the “Handicrafts Exhibition.”
“Sustainable Cultural Heritage Panel in Northern Cyprus,” organized by the Tourism Research, Development, and Applications Center within the World Peace University’s Continuous Education and Research Center, was held on Wednesday, April 17th hosted by the Yunus Emre Institute (YEI). Following the panel, the “Handicrafts Exhibition” specific to Northern Cyprus, in collaboration with the Folk Arts Foundation (HASDER), was opened for visitors.
The opening speeches of the event were delivered by Sibel Tatar, the spouse of President Ersin Tatar, and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Alpay Dikmen, the Rector of the World Peace University.
After the opening speeches, the panel session commenced. Moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Şenyücel, Head of the Department of International Hospitality and Tourism Management at the World Peace University, the panel featured speeches by Ali Tuncay, Chairman of the Presidential Cultural Heritage Technical Committee, Kani Kanol, President of the Folk Arts Foundation (HASDER), and Ceramic Artist Ayhatun Ateş.
Following the panel, the ‘sesta-sepet’ performance of the Herbal Weaving Workshop by the HASDER Foundation was exibited, and traditional delicacies of Northern Cyprus were served.
