The department was established in 2023 and offers an Associate Degree Diploma in English. It aims to provide students with a solid background in the theories and practises of first and emergency response and to train paramedics who are leaders in their field.
The rationale for the opening of the First and Emergency Aid Assistance program is to train healthcare professionals with a valid driver’s license who can apply necessary first aid in home, work, traffic accidents, and other emergencies. These trained professionals will be capable of transporting the patient to a healthcare facility in a well-equipped ambulance service promptly and without causing harm, and also able to implement qualified healthcare interventions.
Our aim in this programme is to train health workers who can provide the necessary first aid in disasters such as accidents, fires and other emergencies such as heart attacks, respiratory arrest and other emergencies, who can take the patient to a health facility in a timely and safe manner with a well-equipped ambulance, who can apply qualified medical measures, who are careful and cold-blooded and have a strong sense of responsibility, who can communicate well with others.
The program is a two-year program, two semesters per year, and the mode of study is full-time. The First and Emergency Aid curriculum has a total of 88 credits and 120 ECTS.
