Psychological Counseling

World Peace University’s Psychological Counseling Center has been serving students since 2023. The services which are provided by expert psychologists in this field, were established with the vision of providing social and academic support as well as helping World Peace University students with issues such as adjustment problems, exam anxiety, getting to know themselves better, and psychological well-being.
The aim of the center is to increase the quality of life of the individuals under the roof of WPU and to help the clients to sustain their lives by increasing their level of happiness. Based on the principle of confidentiality, which is one of the most important principles of psychological counseling as well as professional ethical principles, the contents of the sessions remain only between the student and the counselor.
How Do I Know If I Need Psychological Help?
It can be difficult sometimes to know if you need to visit a psychologist. However, the following signs might be useful:

  • Emotional Distress: If you are constantly feeling sad, anxious, irritable, or restless and these feelings persist for a long time, you may need to seek psychological support.
  • Decreased Functioning: If you have difficulty maintaining your activities of daily routine (such as work, school, relationships, self-care), this may be a sign.
  • Social Isolation: If you avoid social interactions or feel isolated, this can be an indicator of psychological problems.
  • Sleep Problems: If you experience sleep problems such as insomnia, nightmares, or frequent awakenings, psychological factors may be at play.
  • Focus and Concentration Problems: If you are having difficulty focusing at work or school or you are experiencing forgetfulness, you should consider consulting a specialist.
  • Suicidal Thoughts: If you are having thoughts of killing yourself or feeling suicidal, you should seek professional help immediately.
  • Post Traumatic Symptoms: If you are having difficulty recovering from a traumatic event, this may require professional help.
  • Addiction Problems: If you are suffering from substance abuse or other forms of addiction, it is important to seek psychological support.
  • Relationship Problems: If you have persistent problems in your family, romantic or friendship relationships, you may want to seek professional help.

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, you should consider consulting a psychologist or a mental health professional. Professional help can help you cope with difficult processes and improve your emotional well-being. Remember that seeking psychological support is a courageous step and everyone may need it.
