Master of Public Administration (w/thesis & wo/thesis)

Thesis and Non-Thesis Master’s Program in Public Administration will make a significant contribution to scientific and academic research, as well as to the training of specialists in this field. Based on the understanding that teaching and scientific research are two inseparable components of university education and that they complement one another, the establishment of the Public Administration Master’s Program is regarded as necessary for enhancing the quality of the teaching process and for expanding and deepening academic research. In addition, it is important that our Departments of Political Science and International Relations are already running Master’s Programs.

The Public Administration Master’s Program, which will be conducted with a student-centered approach, primarily aims to educate researchers and scholars equipped to analyze political, public, and administrative processes, diagnose relevant problems, and develop appropriate solution proposals. The fundamental objectives of the proposed program are: to respond to human resource needs of individuals who wish to specialize and/or pursue a career in the field of Public Administration; to contribute to scientific research in the fields of political science and international relations within both the public and private sectors of the TRNC, and—through our graduates—to support the formation of a qualified human resource pool both in the TRNC and globally; and to provide opportunities for the advancement of education and practice in public administration, political science, and international relations at our university, while contributing to multidisciplinary and scientific research conducted in these areas.

Our Master’s Program is designed to meet the human resource needs of an increasingly globalized world. It is structured for candidates who aspire to pursue an academic career as well as those who aim to work as researchers or managers in the fields of political science and international relations. The program offers graduates a wide range of employment opportunities and advantages: graduates may work in both the public and private sectors. They may be employed as public officials in governmental institutions or serve as mid- and senior-level administrators. Furthermore, they may also pursue careers in the private sector, non-governmental organizations, think tanks, international organizations, and multinational companies.
