Altınbaş Cyprus University hosted a student-focused awareness event as part of the global Orange the World (Orange Day) campaign, led by the United Nations to raise awareness and take action against violence against women and girls. Orange Day symbolizes hope, solidarity, and a shared commitment to building a safe and violence-free society worldwide.
The event took place on 26 November 2025 at the LTL Mehmet Altınbaş Conference Hall, Altınbaş Cyprus University. The program featured Mine Atlı, KAYAD Activist & Lawyer, as the speaker, with İmren Gürbaşar as the moderator.
Through an engaging and informative discussion, students explored the social, legal, and human rights dimensions of gender-based violence, highlighting the critical role of young people in promoting gender equality and empowering women.
