Altınbaş Cyprus University had the pleasure of welcoming the Executive Board of the Cyprus Turkish Business People Association (İŞAD) to the university. The meeting, hosted by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Behiye Çavuşoğlu, provided a valuable opportunity to discuss initiatives aimed at strengthening collaboration between higher education and the business community.
The delegation included Enver Mamülcü, Chairman of the Executive Board of İŞAD, Ali İhsan Çevik, Vice Chairman, Metin Yılgın, Secretary General, and Özgür Neni, Member of the Education Committee.
The meeting focused on fostering an entrepreneurial culture among students, enhancing university–industry collaboration, developing joint education and research projects, expanding internship and career opportunities, and promoting collaborative initiatives that will contribute to the entrepreneurship ecosystem of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
The participants emphasized that bringing together the knowledge production and talent development mission of universities with the practical expertise and experience of the business community is essential for supporting the country’s economic and social development. Both parties expressed their shared commitment to strengthening sustainable partnerships and implementing collaborative projects that create long-term value.
